Biography
One of the greatest GREEK ARTISTS
Alexis Korbis was born in Athens in 1982.
He received his early training in painting and sketching at N. Christoforakis and L. Martzoukou’s workshop (2000-2002). He subsequently studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts the years 2002-2007 attending the 8th Painting Workshop under A. Christakis and I. Kontaratos and photography in the Photography Lab under E. Babousis, A. Voutsas, G. Totskas and P. Hadjadourian.
He was awarded an Honorary Scholarship and the 2006-2007 Programme Prize for the academic year 2005-2006 from the State Scholarship Foundation. In 2008, he participated in the digital photo-shoot and processing of 3,800 works of art which was part of the programme
“Documentation and Promotion of the Origins of the Evolution of Greek art. The Gallery of the A.S.F.A. 2nd phase 1989-2006” (Operational Programme: “Information society”).
In 2009 he received an honorary mention from the Jannis and Zoe Spyropoulos Foundation.
